Five years ago, a national insurance brand entered the Utah market with the same name and logo colors as our client, American Insurance & Investment Corp. Instead of trying to block them, we determined to simply change our focus from acquisition only to retention and profitability. American Insurance has since developed a greater focus on branding through direct mail. To date, their budget remains unchanged while their growth has been above the national average four years in a row.
